Bucharest, the capital, once called "Paris of the East", is a city full of charm yet full of contrasts too, due to its recent history and its position in the crossroad of Central, Eastern and Balkan Europe.   Transylvania     Sibiu / Hermannstadt   Romania is ready to join European Union on 1st January 2007 - and this is not the only surprise that this country of Central-Balkan Europe, famous for its rich tradition and ethnic diversity, holds for us.
